I posted this a while back, but since I moved to a new website, I wanted to bring along some of my favourite blog posts, here is one.
March 24, 2018: I will be leaving in a few short weeks on the trip of a lifetime. I will be gone from Canada for almost 2 months, the longest I have ever traveled. I am excited, nervous, prepared, grateful, and scared – all at the same time. But this is something I really want to do, so mostly I am excited. I will be walking across Spain (yes the whole country, about 800-900 km -that is one long walk) doing El Camino de Santiago pilgimage. I will not go into detail about it here, but if you want to learn more, I have created a blog about that also: https://arlenetoys.wixsite.com/mycamino/blog/On the map below I will be walking from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela (the Camino Frances).

I heard about the pilgrimage a few years ago, then in 2016 I found out that a friend also wanted to walk. So we made a plan – and spring 2018 sounded like it was far enough away that we had LOTS of time to prepare! Well, that snuck up on us, and we are leaving on April 10, very soon! But we decided that we should not put it off too long. Because if we did, there was a good chance we would never do it. What do you have on your bucket list that you are putting off till “someday”? I think bucket lists are great, but not to be left in limbo – to start today to plan and be able to experience! As in – don’t wait for retirement! I am nervous about many things – how will I do on the walk, and how will life go on at home while I leave. I know I won’t be working on my business, and have decided to be okay with that. So if you are interested in my business, please be patient. Before I come home I am going to attend our international seminar in Prague, so I will definitely be ready to work come June. I was fortunate that with the timing of my trip I was able to include a week in Porto, Portugal with my husband, and the Elite Seminar in Prague. So this will be an amazing trip! I think my theme will be SAY YES – to experiences, to friendships, to living in the moment, to rising to whatever challenge comes along! Not sure what my next Bucket List adventure will be, but I think doing this one will open my eyes to other opportunities! And I will be ready to say YES – how about you?
